HOW YOU
CAN HELP
Shishu Mandir functions on donations from individuals and corporates. We receive support as funds, as material resources, and as volunteering of time and skills. Each of these play an important role in supporting our work.

Sponsorships
Sponsorships allow us to cover the cost of teachers’ salaries, infrastructure and operation costs, material and uniforms for the children, and meals.

Full Sponsorship is Rs 2,000 per month per child
Partial sponsorship is Rs 1,000 per month per child

-
The sponsorship amount can be paid monthly, quarterly, half-yearly or annually, although we would like to be informed of the duration of the sponsorship.
-
A sponsor can meet the child and spend time with him/her on prior appointment. Typically meetings are arranged on weekends at Shishu Mandir premises.

DONATION OF TIME AND SKILLS.
We have volunteers, who conduct storytelling sessions (in-school and online), teach, conduct life skills lessons, and offer their time and talent. These interactions are very valuable, as they offer children another opportunity to learn from people, learn to interact with different people and enjoy the exposure to different people and different points of view. It prepares them for the world outside. We feel spending time with the children is the most effective way of molding a child.
